Timeline
Operation Epic Fury began on Saturday, February 28, 2026,
with a U.S.-Israel joint multi-domain offensive against Iran to
destroy its missile, drone, and nuclear infrastructure. The
mission saw rapid success in establishing air superiority,
degrading Iran's air force, destroying Iran's navy, disruption
of Iran's defense industry, and limiting Iran's ability to
attack neighbors with missiles and drones.

"Strategy without tactics
is the slowest route to victory.
Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat"
Sun Tzu, The Art of
War, 6th Century BC

Stalemate. The Iranians have proposed
new terms (not quite new, just more of the same) with little
flexibility and give. The Iranians offered a seven day
ceasefire but only if the U.S. lifted sanctions, unfroze
assets, and lifted the blockade. President Trump has rejected
these terms and say that there will be no negotiations in the
near future. Trump indicated that a return to the Memoradum of
Understanding is not possible.

The Yemen - Saudia Arabia conflict is
once again flaring up. Houthi missiles and drones are attacking
Saudi oil infrastrure and pipelines. The Saudis continue to
back selected government forces in the ground war. The Houthis
moved southward along the Red Sea coastline into southwestern
Yemen. From there it can exert more pressure on the strait
separating the Red Sea from the Gulf of Oman.

Iran has launched anti-ship cruise
missiles and drones from Larak Island toward U.S. aircraft
carriers or vessels around the Strait of Hormuz.
September 12, 2026
Saudi Arabia has shut down its oil
pipeline that extends out to seaports on the Red Sea due to
drone and missile attacks by the Houthis. The pipeline was once
seen as a measure to get around the closure of the Strait of
Hormuz by Iran.
Early September 2026
Hostilities have broken out once again
between Iran and the United States. Iran has been attacking
U.S. warships, commerical tankers, and U.S. installations in
Jordan and Gulf region nations. The U.S. has been attacking
military targets, mostly along the coast of Iran, and in a new
development, Iranian-government owned oil tankers.
