Operation Epic Fury began on Saturday, February 28, 2026, with a U.S.-Israel joint multi-domain offensive against Iran to destroy its missile, drone, and nuclear infrastructure. The mission saw rapid success in establishing air superiority, degrading Iran's air force, destroying Iran's navy, disruption of Iran's defense industry, and limiting Iran's ability to attack neighbors with missiles and drones.

CENTCOM announced that the USS George Washington Carrier Strike Group has entered the Arabian Sea and is now operating in the CENTCOM area of operations. The group includes USS George Washington, USS Robert Smalls and USS Shoup. The USS Abraham Lincoln CSG will soon begin its month-long journey home to San Diego.

U.S. Changing Strategy? Many social media accounts are stating that President Trump is walking away from the Iran War without a nuclear deal. He is now low keying it with Iran resorting to economic pressure instead of military strikes. Strike munitions and interceptor missile shortages are leaving Gulf nation countries vulnerable to Iranian strikes.
Iran seems to be holding the cards. Iran states that the Strait of Hormuz will only open if the U.S. acedes to its demands. These include $300 billion in compensation, lifting of all sanctions, release of billions in frozen assets, U.S. military withdrawal from the entire region, accepting transit fees on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, and an end to the naval blockade.

Iran and Oman have agreed on routes for ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, with both countries finalizing arrangements to jointly manage the strategic waterway.

News has come out that the stockpile of ATACMS was drained down to a very low level. It has been reported that the U.S. Army used 1,300 ATACMS in the initial weeks of the Iran-U.S. War.
CENTCOM struck more Iranian targets on Wednesdsay, July 8th. Administration sources indicated that it would exceed the number hit on Tuesday.
