Army Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) ProgramOne of the U.S. Army's programs that will restructure Army aviation is the Army Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft program. The initiative is supposed to develop advanced technology platforms that will replace the AH-64 Apache and OH-58 Kiowa helicopters. New Developments. On February 8, 2024, the U.S. Army announced that it is seeking to cancel the FARA program in its FY2025 budget request. The U.S. Congress will need to decide wheter to approve, reject, or modify the Army's proposal of cancellation.
